This addendum supplements the existing privacy policy of yeastime.com to provide additional information about data processing activities related to Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit for WordPress), YouTube iframe video embedding, and Shield Security plugin implementation. This supplementary information should be read in conjunction with the main privacy policy document.
Google Analytics and Site Kit Implementation
Google Analytics 4 Service
Service Provider: Google LLC
Purpose: Web traffic analysis and user behavior monitoring
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in improving website performance and user experience; consent where required by applicable law
Data Collected:
- Website usage data (pages visited, session duration, bounce rate)
- Device and browser information
- Anonymized IP addresses (automatically implemented in GA4)
- Geographic location data (city/country level)
- User interaction events (clicks, scrolls, form submissions)
Data Processing Location: For EU users, data is processed within the European Union. For users outside the EU, data may be processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards.
Data Retention: User-level data is retained for 14 months by default, with event-level data retained for 2 months. Aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes.
Third-Party Integration: This website uses Google Site Kit for WordPress to facilitate the integration and management of Google Analytics services.
User Rights: Users can opt-out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or through browser settings.
YouTube Video Embedding
YouTube iframe Integration
Service Provider: YouTube LLC (Google)
Purpose: Video content delivery and user engagement
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in providing multimedia content; consent for initial loading where required
Implementation Method: Videos are embedded using YouTube’s Privacy-Enhanced Mode (youtube-nocookie.com domain) to minimize data collection prior to user interaction.
Data Processing Behavior:
- Before interaction: Minimal data collection using privacy-enhanced mode
- During playback: Standard YouTube data collection applies, including viewing statistics and user preferences
- User interaction: Clicking play constitutes consent for full YouTube data processing
Data Collected:
- IP addresses and device information
- Video viewing behavior and preferences
- Browser and system information
- User interaction data with video player
Data Processing Location: United States and other Google server locations worldwide
Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
User Control: Users can control video loading through browser settings. Videos will only load tracking cookies after user interaction with the video player.
Shield Security Plugin Implementation
WordPress Security Protection
Service Provider: One Dollar Plugin (Shield Security)
Purpose: Website security, malware protection, and intrusion prevention
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in maintaining website security and protecting user data
Data Collected:
- IP addresses of visitors and login attempts
- User session information for registered users
- Browser and device fingerprinting for bot detection
- Security event logs and access attempts
- Two-factor authentication data (when enabled)

- icwp-badgeState: Records security badge closure (1 day duration)
- icwp-isredirect: Prevents redirect loops (7 seconds duration)
- wp-icwp-wpsf: Tracks user sessions for registered users (30 days duration)
- Temporary bot detection cookie: Identifies legitimate users (~600 seconds duration)

Data Retention: Security logs are retained for the duration necessary to maintain website security and as configured by the website administrator.
