Luca Buccarello

Luca is our Chief Information Officer and he steers digital innovation and software production through the entire lifecycle of our products. He has overall responsibility for devices firmware, web application, databases, ci/cd, self-hosting and the cloud architecture in all development, testing, staging and production cycles toward enabling rapid and replicable releases through consistent core principles and best practices implementation.

• Arch & Data – we created our edge-to-cloud IoT infrastructure, which streams real-time device data to a scalable, cloud-based MQTT broker. Serverless cloud functions then write the incoming data to our PostgreSQL databases—powering efficient analytics, process traceability, and remote monitoring and control via our webapp.
• Firmware & Industrial IoT – we need to design embedded firmware for every device model granting end-to-end synchronization, bench prototypes and production lines with robust connectivity and fault tolerance.
• Operational Dashboard & Web Platform – we developed a multi-tenant, multi-language, role based access controlled webapp, with a responsive web frontend that aggregates brewery operations, device management, fermentation tracking, diagnostic status, maintenance request processing, administrative procedures, and biotech coordination. Built with modern technologies for immediate update processing, high-responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility. This web app has a formal error-logging framework with traceable event codes centralizing all our infrastructure log stream for diagnostic and security purposes that increase our help center efficiency.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance – we embrace Linux hardening, virtualisation and DevSecOps “security-by-design” techniques that facilitate continuity of operations and GDPR compliance.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup – we handle cloud-native disaster recovery plans and automated backups of databases and services to ensure business continuity and resiliency of data in case of failure scenarios.
• Hardware development and prototyping – Luca collaborates with our hardware team in building prototypes of products; envisios easy user interfaces, optimize machine portability and setup fast Internet and plant systems connections using safe procedures.
